Governor's Utah Energy Development Summit

The Utah Governor’s Energy Development Summit is the largest event of its kind in the West, hosting more than 1,200 attendees from across the nation and around the world. Each May, the event features nearly 100 industry speakers who address regional, national and international energy and minerals issues.

Air-Energy Symposium

Reliable energy is essential to powering Utah’s high quality of life, but the production and use of various resources can produce emissions that affect our airshed. The Utah Air & Energy Symposium brings together a range of diverse stakeholders in an effort to address the combined goals of economic development and environmental health.

Water-Energy Nexus Forum

As the second driest state in the nation, drought conditions remain Utah’s primary water-energy concern. In an effort to advance energy efficiency and resource conservation, OED partners with the Rural Water Association to host the Annual Water-Energy Nexus Forum, exploring new approaches to developing Utah’s energy economy while protecting its vital water resources.

Waxy Crude Workshop

Utah’s oil is lighter, cleaner and more affordable than most, but its waxy composition makes it difficult to ship long distances. With the priority of advancing market and transport solutions, the Governor’s Office of Energy Development (OED) partners with the Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative (USTAR), the Division of Oil, Gas and Mining and the Rural Planning Group to discuss infrastructure developments and innovations at the Annual Waxy Crude Workshop.
