Save the date for the first annual Governor's Outdoor Recreation Summit, May 8, 2014, which will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
Hosted by the Outdoor Recreation Office, the summit is a full-day conference with keynote speakers and breakout panel sessions. The Governor's Outdoor Recreation Summit is an inspiring and insightful statewide event with a simple focus: to explore and share new ways to responsibly grow, promote, and enhance Utah's flourishing recreation economy.
The summit's speakers and presenters will offer ideas to:
Grow outdoor industry business
Develop Community recreational amenities to improve economic development
Discuss how our outdoor opportunities enhance our rich quality of life, and promote health, well-being, and a sense of community
The summit will offer plenty of networking opportunities with outdoor industry leaders, federal land managers, community leaders and various representatives who are focused on outdoor recreation in the state.
The Office of Energy Development is sponsoring of the Governor's Outdoor Recreation Summit, as it recognizes that the energy development and outdoor recreation industries must thrive alongside each other, in a state that depends so heavily on both.
Early bird registration is now open, and takes the price of $65 down to $50. This includes breakfast, lunch and materials.
