What is C-PACE?

                                     

The Utah *C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) program is a financing tool that helps new and existing buildings offset the cost of financing for energy efficiency, water efficiency and resiliency seismic improvements, including new heating/cooling systems, lighting, water pumps, insulation, and renewable energy projects.

Owners and developers can lower the overall weighted cost of capital for more efficient upgrades, with existing buildings being eligible for up to 100% cost recovery and new buildings being eligible for up to 35% cost recovery. C-PACE offers attractive, stable interest rates with long-term non-recourse financing of up to 30 years available. 

C-PACE covers a range of projects. Eligible properties include agricultural, industrial manufacturing, retail, multifamily residential, non-profits, offices, and more!  

*C-PACE was created under Chapter 42a of the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy Act.  The program is managed by the Utah Office of Energy Development (OED) and administered by Sustainable Real Estate Solutions (SRS).
