Utah Home Energy Rebate  Program (HER)

Program Status Update

The Utah Home Energy Rebate (HER) program is on hold until further notice.

In December 2024, the Utah Office of Energy Development (OED) submitted a formal application to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to secure funding for this federally supported rebate initiative. At this time, the DOE has not approved the application from Utah, nor those from numerous other state energy offices. As a result, no program funding will be distributed to the Utah OED until federal approval is granted.

The Utah Office of Energy Development remains in regular communication with the DOE to monitor the status of the application.
