Energy Resilience
KEEPING THE GRID STRONG AND RESILIENT
How Are We Building Energy Resilience?
Safe and reliable energy is essential for our economy and wellbeing. With this in mind, it is imperative to make strategic investments in our critical infrastructure and other security measures to promote resilience across our energy systems.
To help keep Utah’s energy infrastructure fully functioning, regardless of the circumstances, we work with a variety of different state agencies and private sector companies with the goal of helping make sure that your energy needs are met when you need them most.

Building Energy Resilience
There are a variety of existing resources available for companies and local governments interested in enhancing energy systems resilience. If energy systems are built to withstand impacts and reduce outages, both economic and safety benefits can be realized. These resources are linked above.
Energy Emergency Exercises
In partnership with the Division of Emergency Management and key energy sector partners, both in the public and private sector, we co-host training exercises to enhance energy-emergency planning. These trainings provide participants with a better understanding of communication protocols and help identify opportunities to improve preparedness plans.
