During the 2019 Utah Legislative Session, SB 3 allocated funds to conduct an analysis of the electrical transmission system in Utah.

We facilitated a Transmission Working Group to collect input and help inform the project's scope of work and the technical analysis which identifies opportunities and challenges around accessing Utah’s resource potential and provides recommendations on ways to address them.

Recommendations examine costs and benefits, which include, but are not limited to, potential reliability, economic, operational, and local tax benefits as well as the potential costs to ratepayers.
