GRID Eligibility and Match Requirements.
- Large utilities are defined as entities that sell more than 4,000,000 megawatt hours of electricity per year. Large utility providers are required to provide 100% of requested funding match (1-1 dollar).
- Small utilities are defined as entities that sell not more than 4,000,000 megawatt hours of electricity per year. (refer to 40101(d)(6)). Small utility providers are required to provide 33% match of the requested funding match.
The UB ALaRD program is a competitive funding opportunity and requires a one-to-one dollar match. The total funding pool for the program is $100,000. Program awards break down as follow:
- Three (3) awards of $30,000 per selected applicant.
- One (1) awardee will receive an additional $10,000 for having the most impactful fugitive leaks repair and emission reduction.
Applications will be evaluated and scored based on the applicant’s narrative responses.
