All nine members of the Rural Utah Electric Cooperative are eligible to apply. Refer to the Utah Office of Consumer Services.

Yes, the electric cooperatives may apply for both tracks of the program. Please address the relationship between the projects in the Application Narrative. 

• • If an award is made to one cooperative for both tracks, the minimum of 8 ports required for the EV Charging Station Infrastructure track will apply.  And, the location of the EV charging station site must be within the servicing radius. 

The narrative responses should be direct and clear, but there is no word limit to any response within the application. 

This program is a post-performance program meaning the award funds will be dispersed upon the completion of the project and the report requirements have been met.

Electrical upgrades such as transformers upgrades or expansion of the parking lot to enable more parking spots for EV charging stations. 

The power input requirements for this program are not set, meaning it is up to the applicant to choose and propose charging stations that will be compatible with the site. Keep in mind that the REVI program does have a power output requirement: Application Eligibility Requirements, page 5.

Yes, the applicant may choose what type of EV charging station to install at the proposed location; all DC Fast Charging Stations, all AC Level 2, or both. The proposed type of EV charging station must meet the minimum ports and power output requirements. 

It is up to the electric cooperative to decide who owns the EV charging stations for 5 years, whether that is the electric cooperative member to decide if the do that themselves or contract out the work. The ownership of the EV charging stations may decided upon during the contract negotiation period. Keep in mind that the owner of the charging stations is responsible for maintaining the charging stations. 

Any cost incurred prior to the signing of the contract and pre- and post-maintenance of the site.

 OED contracts will be sent out starting July 1, 2024 --after both parties have reached an agreement. Once the contract is signed by both parties, the awardee may start their project(s).
