The Davis-Bacon Act (DBA) mandates that contractors and subcontractors on federally funded construction and labor projects must pay laborers and mechanics no less than the local prevailing wages and benefits for similar work in the area. This requirement ensures fair compensation and prevents contractors from lowering wages to win government contracts.

Build America, Buy America Act

The Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) aims to boost American businesses and create jobs by mandating that all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in federal construction projects are made in the USA.
